Spread the word

If you're coming to this blog, you have an interest in this race. Please remind your friends, families, and co=workers to vote, and let them know who you think would be the board members who could begin to change the climate of cronyism at John Logan.

You can vote for two (but you don't have to). Graff is top of the ticket and the only female, if that's important to you. You've read enough here about the way Okeefe votes with Brewer, and the shameless way hes hired and promoted his son, and also that Brewers daughter=in-law works for Hamilton.

vote for change, but more importantly, even if your community doesn't have a mayor or school board election, remind others to vote.

Early voting is going on now, and the election is less that a week away. Call, e-mail, post, tweet, or send smoke signals to get people out and help make this community asset even better by making it more ethical!!

  1. Dear Editor:

We’ve seen a movement with how school administrators and boards conduct their business with the communities they serve. We, parents and taxpayers, have become extremely involved in the decision making process when our trustees create policies and set or cut budgets.

Public school and community college trustees are the link between the administrators that operate the day-to-day functions of the school and the public to which they are accountable. Transparency, communication, integrity, and trust are key building blocks on which a solid relationship with our trustees should be built.

When this is not happening, or not happening to the level of excellence that our students, school and college employees, or the district deserve, new leadership should be considered to guarantee that it does.

We need to consider the emerging generation of leaders that bring fresh experience, expertise, and perspective to take on the emerging challenges of today and tomorrow. A young queen named Esther was told that “for such a time as this” her voice was critical to the future of her people. If we don’t allow new servant-leaders to step up and voice our concerns, we can’t expect the governance of our schools and colleges to meet our needs for accountability, transparency, and trust.

When you vote on April 9, consider the model of servant-leadership you want leading your school and community college. Are they the voice and vote serving the best interest of your student and your family?

  2. IT HAS BEEN reported that Williamson County expects only a 20% voter turnout for the general election on April 9th. SAD! Early voting report from the Williamson County Courthouse reports very small turnout.
Make sure you turn this around on Tuesday April 9th
